Ex-Team Katusha rider Eduard Vorganov to join Minsk Cycling Club for 2017
Eduard Vorganov, a Russian rider who was a part of the Katusha World Tour team since 2010, will join Minsk Cycling Club for the 2017 season.
A 34 year old athlete claimed a victory at the Russia road national championships in 2012, many times finished in top-3 and in GC top-10 at the biggest stage races. In 2012 Eduard Vorganov was 19th overall at the Tour de France.
In Katusha, despite his reputation of one of the best Russian climbers, Vorganov often played second roles as a domestique, but in Minsk Cycling Club he will be one of the key riders and will have an opportunity to realize his personal ambitions. Moreover, his experience is priceless for the team’s young riders.
The present sports director of the Minsk team Aliaksandr Kuchynski, Vorganov’s ex-team-mate in Katusha, knows well his qualities.
